Retaining walls can be either used for function or design. Either way they definitely play a key part to any landscape. We have found that most often people want something that will tie into what their existing home's architecture already has to offer.  If not it can be more of an eyesore than a piece of landscape art. We will work with you to help to decide on a product that will work best with your home and come up with a design that will accentuate your landscape.
Constructing a retaining wall right is the most important thing or else it will fail and you will be left with the cost of having to rebuild it all over again. Anytime that any kind of excavation is going take place, a local utility marking company is contacted so that all utilities are properly marked. Then excavation can start safely. Once that is done a base material is placed at the bottom of the trench where the retaining wall will start. The base is tamped to prevent settling and to secure a good foundation for the wall to sit on. The the first layer of block is placed and leveled. Then the remainder are placed to the desired height of the wall. Once
this is done the bottom of the wall
gets a drain pipe to move water
away from the wall and the back
is filled with crushed stone for
drainage. Then the soil is pushed
back and final grading is done.
These are all important steps to
make sure that the wall will last.
This method has been proven to
be very successful and this is why
why we have had such great
 success.
